Ep 3. Suspicion Will Raise Bogies

After the intense battle with the Impure King in the Kyoto Impure King arc, Rin and his classmates return to the True Cross Academy to resume their studies in exorcism. In Blue Exorcist season 2 episode 3 titled "Suspicion Will Raise Bogies," the students of the academy are assigned to read a book about curses and bogies, which are evil spirits that harm humans. While the topic seems innocuous at first, the students soon realize that the book has a sinister purpose.

Rin, who is still grappling with the revelation that he is the son of Satan, is struggling to keep his demonic powers under control. He confides in his friends, but they are unable to help him. Meanwhile, strange things start happening around the academy - students start disappearing, and the remaining students are attacked by bogies. Rin becomes a suspect in these attacks due to his demon blood, and he decides to investigate the source of the curse.

With the help of his friends, Rin discovers that the book they were assigned to read is actually cursed, and that the person responsible for the curse is a fellow student named Kinzo Shima. Kinzo, who is obsessed with proving the existence of bogies, has been conducting dangerous experiments and using the curse to lure them out. When Kinzo is confronted, he reveals that he has captured a powerful bogie called a Dullahan, and plans to use it to prove the existence of bogies to the world.

As the situation escalates, Rin and his friends must work together to stop Kinzo and rescue the captive Dullahan. With the help of some unexpected allies, they succeed in defeating Kinzo and the bogies. However, the incident makes Rin realize that even though he is trying to control his demonic powers, his peers will always view him with suspicion and fear.

Blue Exorcist season 2 episode 3 explores the theme of prejudice and discrimination, as Rin is unfairly accused of the attacks simply because of his heritage. It also highlights the dangers of obsession, as Kinzo's single-minded pursuit of the truth leads him down a dark path. The episode features some impressive action sequences and introduces new supernatural creatures to the Blue Exorcist universe. Overall, "Suspicion Will Raise Bogies" is a thrilling and thought-provoking installment in the series.
