Frank and his team of police detectives in the NYPD are called to investigate the death of a well-known businessman in New York City. As they investigate further, they discover that the victim was well-respected in the community and seemed to always have a smile on his face, but as they dig deeper they begin to uncover a darker side to his life.
Meanwhile, Danny and Baez are on the hunt for a killer who seems to be targeting wealthy businessmen in the city. Their investigation takes them to an exclusive club where they encounter a group of powerful and influential men who seem to be linked to the murders. As they try to navigate this complicated case, they must also deal with personal issues that threaten to distract them from their work.
Elsewhere, Erin is assigned a case involving a man who has been charged with assaulting a police officer during a protest. As she digs deeper, she discovers that there may be more to the story than meets the eye, and that the suspect may have been unfairly targeted by the police.
