In episode 2 of season 1, titled "Blossom Blossoms," we see Blossom trying to come out of her shell and make the most out of her time in high school.
The episode starts with Blossom finding out that she has to do a school project with the school's most popular girl, Vicki, who she has never even met before. She talks to Vicki and decides to do their project on flowers, which she is very passionate about.
Meanwhile, Blossom's best friend Six is going through some tough times. Her parents are getting a divorce, and Six is feeling neglected by her mother, who has started seeing someone else. Blossom tries to help Six, but she is unsure of how to make her feel better.
On the other hand, Blossom's brother Joey is preparing for a big basketball game that he hopes will earn him a scholarship. Joey is not known for his academic abilities and relies on sports to help him get into college. However, Joey's confidence takes a hit when he overhears his coach talking to the assistant coach about how Joey may not be good enough to make the team.
Throughout the episode, we see Blossom making an effort to come out of her shell and participate more in school activities. She decides to audition for the school play, which is something she has always been interested in but never had the courage to pursue. As the episode progresses, we see Blossom helping Six through her tough times. She encourages her friend to talk to her mom about how she feels and tells her that she is always there for her. Six takes Blossom's advice, and we see her relationship with her mom start to improve.
Finally, we see Joey taking control of his own future. He approaches his coach and asks him to let him play in the upcoming game, promising that he will prove himself on the court. Joey's determination pays off, and he helps lead his team to victory.
The episode ends with Blossom feeling more confident and outgoing than ever before.
