Ep 1. Secret Society of the Magic-Sealed City

In Blood Blockade Battlefront season 1 episode 1, we are introduced to a world where a gateway between Earth and the Beyond was opened in New York City. This gateway caused havoc as it brought forth supernatural beings, leading to chaos and destruction. As a result, New York City was renamed Hellsalem's Lot and became a city of wonder and danger. The series follows Leonardo Watch, a young photographer who gains the "All-Seeing Eyes of God" after a visit to Hellsalem's Lot, and his encounters with the people and creatures that inhabit this new world.

The episode starts with a frantic chase scene as a man is being hunted down by unknown assailants. Meanwhile, Leonardo Watch arrives in Hellsalem's Lot and is dazzled by the city's sights and sounds. He quickly makes his way to his mandatory orientation meeting, where he learns about the dangers of the city and the various organizations that operate within it. He then meets a girl named Lady Elizabeth, who is revealed to be his contact for his photography work in the city.

As Leonardo explores the city, he comes across a strange tent surrounded by police, secretive government agents, and a wild horde of civilians. The tent is revealed to be the Magic-Sealed City, commissioned by the supernatural beings who live in Hellsalem's Lot in an attempt to govern themselves and protect themselves from the external forces that threaten their way of life. The man who was being chased at the beginning of the episode is revealed to be a member of a secret society that seeks to overthrow the government of the Magic-Sealed City.

As Leonardo investigates, he runs afoul of the members of this secret society and ends up being captured with Lady Elizabeth. He learns the hard way about the harsh realities of life in Hellsalem's Lot as he is beaten up and taken to a secret location by the society's leaders. However, they are convinced that Leonardo is a spy for the government and accuse him of working against them. Despite his protests of innocence, they reveal that they have kidnapped Elizabeth as well and plan to use her as leverage against him.

The episode ends with Leonardo using his All-Seeing Eyes of God to escape from his captors and rescue Elizabeth. He manages to evade the society's members and return to the Magic-Sealed City where they are welcomed back with open arms. However, the government officials warn him that his "gift" comes with a terrible price, as the Eyes drain his life force and will eventually kill him.

Secret Society of the Magic-Sealed City sets the stage for the rest of the series as we are introduced to the world of Hellsalem's Lot and the various factions that operate within it. The episode does a great job of setting up the stakes and the dangers that await Leonardo, but it also leaves enough unanswered questions to keep the viewer intrigued about what's to come. Overall, it's a great introduction to the world of Blood Blockade Battlefront and a must-watch for fans of the supernatural action genre.
