Ep 7. Fight or Flight

In "Fight or Flight," the seventh episode of Blood & Oil's first season, Hap and Wick's relationship is put to the test when Wick's renovations on the Briggs Family Ranch begin to dig up some unexpected problems. Meanwhile, Billy and Cody are on the rocks after Billy's decision to go behind his wife's back in order to secure his family's future.

As Wick continues to work on the Briggs Family Ranch and tries to keep his father Hap in the dark about the oil discovery, problems begin to arise. Wick starts to realize that the land he's been renovating has some serious issues, including an unstable foundation, and he starts to worry that the entire project might be a bust. Hap, who has invested a lot of money into this project, begins to suspect that something fishy is going on when Wick becomes increasingly evasive about the problems they're encountering. As the tension between father and son continues to mount, it becomes unclear whether Hap will support his son's vision for the future of the ranch or whether he'll cut his losses and pull the plug on the project.

Meanwhile, Billy and Cody are at odds over Billy's recent decision to enter into a risky business venture without her knowledge. While Billy insists that he made the decision in order to secure a better financial future for their family, Cody can't help but feel betrayed by her husband's secrecy. As the two continue to bicker and drift apart, it becomes apparent that their marriage might be in trouble.

Elsewhere, Jules is still trying to get to the bottom of her father's mysterious death. After discovering that one of her father's former coworkers has information that could help her uncover the truth, Jules sets out to convince him to come forward. But as she gets closer to the truth, she finds herself in danger when a mysterious figure starts following her around town. Will Jules be able to uncover the truth about her father's death without putting herself in danger, or will her investigation put everyone she loves at risk?

As the tension between the Briggs family members continues to escalate, it becomes clear that everyone is fighting for their own interests. But as the stakes get higher and higher, they may all start to realize that the only way to make it out alive is to band together and fight as a family. "Fight or Flight" is an intense episode that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end.
