As the penultimate episode of Blindspot season 4, "Everybody Hates Kathy" delivers an intense and action-packed hour that sees the team scrambling to prevent an impending terrorist attack. The episode picks up where the last one left off, with the FBI discovering that an extremist group is planning to release a deadly virus in New York City. To make matters worse, they learn that the group plans to frame a Muslim man, Raj, for the attack in order to incite further unrest.
While the team works to track down the virus and prevent the attack, they also have to deal with internal conflicts. First and foremost is the growing tension between Jane and Weller, who are still reeling from Avery's death and struggling to come to terms with how it happened. Their relationship may be on the rocks, but they both remain fiercely committed to stopping the attack and bringing the terrorists to justice.
Meanwhile, Patterson has her own personal crisis to contend with. She discovers that her former boss, Kathy, has been stealing credit for her work and trying to sabotage her success at the FBI. Patterson is understandably furious, and her anger only grows when she realizes that Kathy is involved with the terrorist group. The two women face off in a tense confrontation that highlights Patterson's intelligence and strength.
As the clock ticks down, the team races to intercept the virus before it can be released. They face numerous obstacles along the way, including a series of traps set by the terrorists and a heart-stopping shootout in a subway station. Through it all, they remain focused and determined – even as they struggle to protect Raj from both the terrorists and the angry mob that has formed in response to the attack.
In the end, the team emerges victorious, but at a great cost. Lives are lost, relationships are strained, and the threat of future attacks looms large. Blindspot season 4 episode 19 serves as a reminder of the high stakes involved in the fight against terrorism, and the toll it can take on those tasked with protecting the public.
