In Black Ink Crew season 5 episode 5, titled "Serving Wedding Realness," the crew is in full wedding mode as they prepare for the nuptials of co-worker Young Bae. The episode kicks off with a scene of Young Bae and her bridesmaids trying on dresses for the big day. The bridal party is having a good time, but the drama soon sets in.
Bae's mother, who flew in from Korea, scolds her for not having a traditional Korean wedding. Bae is conflicted as she wants to please her mother, but also wants a wedding that reflects her and her fiancé's personalities.
Meanwhile, Ceaser continues to have drama with his ex, Dutchess. Dutchess sends a text to Ceaser eluding to the fact that they might be getting back together. Needless to say, Ceaser is not happy and confronts Dutchess about the situation.
Back at the shop, Donna decides to throw a bachelorette party for Young Bae. She insists on hiring a stripper, but not just any stripper, a male one. The other girls are hesitant about the idea, but Donna is insistent.
On the day of the bachelorette party, the girls are getting ready when Donna surprises them with the male stripper. Things start off fine, but then take a turn for the worse when the stripper begins to make unwanted advances towards Bae. The girls quickly intervene and the stripper is kicked out.
As the wedding approaches, Bae and her fiancé have a meeting with the wedding planner. They discuss details and make necessary arrangements for the big day. It's clear that Bae is stressed and overwhelmed, but she's determined to have a perfect wedding.
Tension rises again between Ceaser and Dutchess as she shows up uninvited to the wedding rehearsal dinner. Ceaser is visibly upset and things get heated between the two. The rest of the crew tries to diffuse the situation, but it seems like the drama between these two isn't going away anytime soon.
Finally, it's the day of the wedding and the crew is getting ready to celebrate with Bae and her fiancé. The venue is beautiful and everything seems to be going smoothly until the wedding procession starts. The flower girl throws a tantrum and refuses to walk down the aisle. The bridesmaids scramble to find a solution and ultimately the problem is resolved.
The wedding ceremony is beautiful and emotional. Bae's mother even seems to come around and enjoy herself. The reception is also a success with great food, drinks and dancing. In the end, Bae and her husband are pleased with how the wedding turned out and the crew is happy to have been a part of it.
Overall, "Serving Wedding Realness" is an episode full of drama, tension, and emotion. It's interesting to see the personalities of each cast member come out during event planning and execution and how they handle the drama that arises. The episode serves as a reminder that weddings can be stressful, but in the end, it's all worth it to celebrate love and commitment.
