Ep 1. The Future Is Female

As the first episode of season 6 of Black Ink Crew: Chicago opens, we catch up with the cast since we last saw them. The episode, entitled "The Future Is Female," sets the stage for what looks like an eventful season.

We open with a shot of a mural painted on the side of the new tattoo shop that Ryan had been working on in the previous season. It's clear the new shop marks a new start for everybody. We catch up with Van, who is still working at the old shop. He's determined to keep his business alive despite the difficulties he's faced in the past. He talks about how he's trying to become a better person and how getting back to work will help him achieve that goal.

The next person we see is Don, who's excited to have his own space and start his own tattoo business. He visits the new shop to get advice from Ryan, who's more than happy to help. Don talks about how he's going to be offering his clients more than just tattoos; he's going to help them change their lives.

As the tattoo artists get to work, we quickly see that things aren't going to be smooth sailing this season. The shop's new manager, Jessica, immediately starts clashing with Ryan. She talks about how she's going to be changing things at the shop, which rubs Ryan the wrong way.

Our next stop is at the old shop, where we catch up with Phor and his girlfriend, who's also a tattoo artist. Phor is trying to get back into the swing of things and make a name for himself in the tattoo world. His girlfriend talks about how she's going to be helping him with that.

As the day of the block party arrives, we see that it's already shaping up to be a wild event. People are pouring in, and the crew is doing what they do best – tattooing people on the spot. Ryan and Jessica are still butting heads, with Ryan getting increasingly frustrated with her.

As the party moves on, things take a turn for the worse when someone throws a bottle at the shop. Chaos ensues, with the crew scrambling to protect the new shop. In the end, the crew comes together and overcomes the obstacles that come their way.

Overall, "The Future Is Female" sets the tone for what looks like another exciting season of Black Ink Crew: Chicago. There are going to be some challenges, but the crew is ready for anything that comes their way.
