Manny and Fran are determined to throw Bernard a great birthday party, but things don't go as planned. Manny becomes obsessed with finding a present for Bernard, but struggles to come up with something good. Fran, on the other hand, is busy decorating the shop and inviting guests to the party.
As the day of the party arrives, Manny finally settles on a present for Bernard: a cactus plant. However, things quickly spiral out of control as the party guests begin to arrive. Bernard is his usual grumpy self, unimpressed with the decorations and annoyed by the noise.
To make matters worse, Manny accidentally sets the cactus on fire while trying to light the candles on Bernard's cake. Chaos ensues as everyone scrambles to put out the flames.
Despite all the mishaps, the party eventually gets back on track, with happy guests and a slightly less grumpy Bernard. However, things take a turn for the worse when Fran discovers that Bernard didn't actually invite her to his party.
Feeling hurt and left out, Fran storms out of the shop, leaving Manny and Bernard to clean up the mess. Meanwhile, Bernard is left to reflect on his own selfish behavior and the importance of his friends.
In the end, Manny and Bernard salvage the night by enjoying a quiet drink together, while Fran returns to the shop and reconciles with the group. The episode concludes with the trio sitting together, content in each other's company.
Overall, "Party" is a hilarious and heartwarming episode that showcases the unique chemistry between the three main characters. Despite their flaws and differences, Manny, Fran, and Bernard are ultimately there for each other when it matters most.
