Next, Zimmern travels to Southeast Asia, where he discovers the street food scene in Singapore. He tries dishes like chili crab, char kway teow (a stir-fried noodle dish), and satay (grilled skewers of meat). In Bangkok, Thailand, he visits a floating market where he samples durian, a famously pungent fruit that is considered a delicacy in the region.
Zimmern then makes his way to the Pacific islands of Fiji, where he tries lovo, a traditional Fijian feast cooked in an underground oven. He also samples kava, a drink made from the root of a plant and known for its relaxing properties.
Finally, Zimmern travels to the Amazon rainforest in Brazil to explore the cuisine of the indigenous tribes living there. He samples dishes like piranha soup, grilled ants, and roasted armadillo. Throughout his journey, Zimmern showcases the incredible diversity of tropical cuisine and the unique flavors and techniques that make each region's food so special.
