Ep 9. St. Louis: Pig Snouts & Paddlefish

In season 10 episode 9 of Bizarre Foods America, host Andrew Zimmern ventures to St. Louis to explore the unique culinary offerings of the city.

The episode begins with Andrew visiting a local butcher shop to learn about the art of butchery and to sample some uncommon meats, such as pig snouts and ears. He then heads to a Vietnamese market to try some exotic ingredients and visit a cooking school that specializes in Asian cuisine.

Next, Andrew travels to the Mississippi River to meet a group of paddlefish fishermen. He joins them in their boat and helps them catch the massive fish that can weigh up to 100 pounds. The episode concludes with Andrew visiting a sausage maker to taste some of the city's famous sausages, including the "red hot" and "snoot." He also meets with a local BBQ expert to learn about the history and tradition of St. Louis-style BBQ.
