Elena is still dealing with the aftermath of her encounter with the Mutts that attacked her and Logan. She is unable to keep up with her duties as Pack enforcer and frustrated about her inability to shift into her wolf form. Meanwhile, Logan is still recovering from his injuries and warns Elena about the possibility of the Mutts planning another attack.
Elena's troubles with the Pack only intensify when she is forced to attend a therapy session with Dr. Santos. Uncomfortable with therapy, Elena tries to keep things light by making jokes and refusing to take the session seriously. However, Dr. Santos is not easily put off and eventually manages to get Elena to open up about her past and the trauma she has experienced.
As Elena confides in Dr. Santos, she begins to see that her commitment issues and emotional walls stem from her childhood. She has never truly felt safe or secure, which has translated into her inability to fully connect with the Pack and her reluctance to open up to Clay.
Despite their rocky relationship, Clay shows up to support Elena at her therapy session. As the two leave, they are ambushed by a group of Mutts led by Marsten. Marsten demands that Elena come with them or else they will kill Clay. Elena is left with a difficult decision to make, and the consequences could be deadly for the Pack.
The episode also delves deeper into the relationships between the other members of the Pack. Nick and Antonio's friendship is strained when Nick learns that Antonio is still holding a grudge against Clay for choosing Elena as the new Pack enforcer instead of him. Meanwhile, Philip begins to suspect that Jeremy is hiding something from the Pack and becomes determined to figure out what it is.
As the episode comes to a close, Elena is faced with a life-changing decision that will not only affect her relationship with the Pack but also her relationship with Clay. Will she choose to go with the Mutts to save Clay, or will she stay with the Pack and risk his life? The stakes have never been higher, and the consequences could be deadly.
