In season 1 episode 3 of Big Time Rush, titled "Big Time Crib," the boys are excited to move into their new apartment at the Palm Woods. But when they arrive, they realize that their furnished apartment is much smaller than they expected and not what they were hoping for. Determined to upgrade their living space, they come up with a plan to create the ultimate bachelor pad.
The episode begins with the boys arriving at the Palm Woods and getting their first look at their new apartment. They quickly realize that the living room is much smaller than they thought it would be, and James is disappointed that there is no hot tub. The boys are also not happy with the generic decor and decide that they need to make some changes.
After some brainstorming, they come up with the idea to transform their apartment into the ultimate bachelor pad, complete with a hot tub, a dance floor, and a giant television. However, they quickly realize that they don't have the time or the money to make all of these changes on their own.
To raise the money they need, the boys decide to hold a garage sale and sell some of their old belongings. However, things don't go as planned when they accidentally sell some of their important belongings, including Carlos' video camera and Kendall's lucky helmet.
Meanwhile, Gustavo is convinced that the boys' apartment is haunted and enlists the help of a psychic to locate the source of the paranormal activity. The boys, of course, think that Gustavo is overreacting and continue with their plans to upgrade their apartment.
As the boys prepare for their big renovation, they run into a series of challenges and setbacks. For example, they accidentally flood their apartment while trying to install the hot tub, and they end up needing to buy a new television after breaking their old one.
Despite these setbacks, the boys are determined to create the ultimate bachelor pad and eventually succeed in doing so. The episode ends with them throwing a housewarming party and enjoying their new and improved living space.
Overall, "Big Time Crib" is a fun and lighthearted episode that showcases the boys' creativity and determination. It also introduces the theme of the boys' desire for success and a glamorous lifestyle, which is a recurring theme throughout the show.
