They follow the shadow to a pile of hay bales, and discover that the thief is actually a mischievous little rabbit who has been stealing the crops to build himself a cozy little burrow in the hay.

The farmer and his wife are initially angry at the rabbit, but they quickly realize that he's just trying to make a home for himself, and that he didn't mean any harm. They decide to let him keep his burrow in the hay, as long as he promises not to steal any more crops.

With the mystery of the missing crops solved, the animals are able to relax and enjoy the harvest festival. They all have a great time playing games, showing off their produce, and feasting on delicious treats.

In the end, the animals learn an important lesson about not jumping to conclusions and being understanding of others, even when they make mistakes.
