In the first episode of Beyblade: Shogun Steel, viewers are introduced to a new generation of bladers as a new age arrives. The episode begins with a dramatic battle between two bladers, Zyro Kurogane and Shinobu Hiryuin. The two have been battling for a while when a strange phenomenon occurs. The stadium they're battling in begins to shake, and strange energy emanates from a nearby shrine. A voice booms out that a new era is beginning and that it's time for the bladers of the past to give way to the bladers of the future.
Zyro, Shinobu, and a group of other bladers rush to the shrine to see what's causing the phenomenon. When they arrive, they find a mysterious, ancient-looking Beyblade. The Beyblade is adorned with metal and gold designs, and it glows with a strange energy.
The bladers are all amazed by the Beyblade, and they each take a turn examining it. Zyro, who is the show's protagonist, is the last to pick it up. As soon as he touches it, his eyes widen, and he feels a rush of power flowing into him.
Meanwhile, another group of bladers is observing the situation from a distance. These bladers are villains known as the Dark Bladers, and they've been causing trouble in the Beyblade world for some time. They see the mysterious Beyblade as a source of power and decide to try and take it for themselves.
The Dark Bladers rush towards the shrine, and a battle ensues between them and Zyro's group. The Dark Bladers have powerful Beyblades, and they are able to inflict damage on Zyro's group. However, Zyro refuses to give up. He keeps his focus on the mysterious Beyblade and is eventually able to summon it to his side.
The Beyblade attaches itself to Zyro's wrist, and he feels another surge of power. With the new Beyblade, Zyro is able to summon his own new Beyblade, Samurai Ifrit. The two Beyblades then combine to create a powerful new weapon known as a Synchrome.
With Ifrit Synchrome, Zyro is able to hold off the Dark Bladers and eventually defeat them. The villains retreat, and Zyro's group is left standing victorious.
The episode ends with Zyro and his friends reflecting on what has just happened. They all feel that the appearance of the mysterious Beyblade and the new age that it represents will change the Beyblade world forever. The episode concludes with a montage of upcoming battles and challenges, setting the stage for the adventures to follow throughout the season.
