Ep 13. Solid Gold Mother-in-Law

Samantha's mother Endora pays her daughter and son-in-law a visit, but the visit is not solely for the purpose of catching up. As always, Endora has an ulterior motive - she wants to prove that Samantha's mortal husband Darrin is not worthy of her daughter. Endora organizes a party, which she includes several wealthy young bachelors who she believes would be a "better match" for Samantha. During the party, Endora uses her magical powers to turn Darrin into an old man, much to the shock of the guests.

To make matters worse, a wealthy old lady named Mildred, who had offered Samantha a job, also attends the party. Mildred is smitten with Darrin's "new look", and offers him a job as her personal assistant, which Darrin is forced to accept to keep up appearances.

Samantha is furious with her mother's behavior and confronts her, but Endora remains convinced that Darrin is not the right man for her daughter. Samantha tries to make Darrin look younger again but her attempts fail, much to Darrin's discomfort.

Meanwhile, Gladys Kravitz, a nosy neighbor, becomes suspicious when she sees Darrin working for Mildred, and she reports this to her husband Abner. Abner then tells Larry Tate, Darrin's boss, who becomes worried that Darrin is trying to steal clients from their company. Larry confronts Darrin about his new job, but Samantha intervenes and explains the situation.

In an effort to get Darrin back to his normal age, Samantha contacts Dr. Bombay, a warlock and friend of the family. However, Dr. Bombay requires a potion to reverse the spell, which can only be found in the possession of a witch named Hagatha, who is notoriously difficult to deal with.

Despite the obstacles, the family manages to get the potion and Dr. Bombay successfully uses it to reverse the spell. Darrin is thrilled to be back to his normal age, and Endora begrudgingly admits that Darrin does indeed love Samantha.

In the end, with the issues resolved, the party continues and everyone enjoys a night of celebration.
