Ted's got a new girlfriend, and it's causing trouble at work. Veronica is sure that Ted's not mentally in the game because of his new girlfriend, and she's determined to put a stop to it. She comes up with a plan that involves putting Ted on a new drug that's supposed to suppress his sexual urges. Ted is resistant at first, but Veronica assures him that it's for the good of the company. At first, the drug seems to work, and Ted's productivity skyrockets. But as time goes on, Ted realizes that the drug is suppressing more than just his sexual urges. He's becoming numb to everything around him, and he's starting to feel like a robot. He comes to the realization that he needs to get off the drug, but Veronica won't let him. Meanwhile, Linda and Phil are trying to figure out why every time they go to a certain part of the office, they feel depressed. They conclude that it must be because their area is in the shape of a square, and they start fighting to get their area rounded out. The conflict between Linda and Phil escalates, and they begin to sabotage each other's efforts. Finally, Veronica steps in and agrees to round out their area, but only if Ted stays on the drug. In the end, Ted decides to come off the drug and risk the consequences. He's happier, more alive, and he feels like himself again. The square issue is resolved, and Linda and Phil make amends. Ted and Veronica continue to butt heads, but she secretly admires Ted's dedication to the company.
