Benidorm Season 9 Episode 8: Episode 8

In the eighth episode of season nine of Benidorm, the Solana is in chaos as Joyce Temple-Savage (played by Sherrie Hewson) is trying to get the hotel ready to take on the staff of the rival hotel who she has just acquired. As the new staff begin to arrive, the old staff are all vying for their jobs and tensions are running high.

Meanwhile, Mateo (played by Jake Canuso) is struggling with some emotional issues as he is forced to confront his past. When his old friend and ex-lover, Jackie (played by Janine Duvitski), arrives at the hotel, Mateo is forced to address the unresolved feelings of his past and come to terms with the present.

At the same time, a father and son duo arrive at the Solana for a holiday but it soon becomes clear that their relationship is anything but happy. As the tensions between the two grow, the holiday takes a turn for the worse and they find themselves in an unexpected situation that they must work together to get out of.

Elsewhere, Rob (played by Josh Bolt) and Cyd (played by Laila Zaidi) are trying to keep their relationship a secret from everyone, but it's proving to be a difficult task. When a new guest arrives at the hotel, Cyd finds herself drawn to him and questions whether she is with the right person.

As the episode unfolds, the characters are faced with a series of challenges and dilemmas as they navigate their way through the holiday season. With the Solana at full capacity and tensions running high, it’s anyone’s guess how things will turn out by the end of the episode.
