In Benidorm season 9 episode 2, we are once again transported to the Spanish resort town of Benidorm, where the Solana resort and its colorful cast of characters provide the backdrop for more hilarity and drama. The episode opens with the arrival of new guests at the hotel, including husband and wife duo Eddie and Joyce, who are celebrating their wedding anniversary. However, their romantic getaway takes an unexpected turn when Joyce discovers that Eddie has been keeping a secret from her.
Meanwhile, Kenneth is still reeling from the revelation that blow-up doll "Les/Lesley" may not be fully anatomically correct. He enlists the help of barman Mateo to investigate further, leading to some comedic hijinks that involve breaking into the doll factory and attempting to inflate a life-sized model. Elsewhere, Jacqueline and Liam continue their game of cat-and-mouse, with Jacqueline attempting to seduce Liam while he remains oblivious to her advances. However, things take a serious turn when Liam's ex-wife Tina shows up at the resort, threatening to ruin his newfound relationship with Jacqueline.
As always, the staff of the Solana resort are dealing with their own issues, including the return of troublesome guest Pauline and the ongoing feud between Joyce and her neighbor at the hotel, Noreen.
