Set in the Spanish coastal town of Benidorm, the popular sitcom Benidorm follows the comical antics of a group of holidaymakers and hotel staff as they navigate their way through life at the Solana resort.

Meanwhile, the guests of the Solana resort are up to their usual hijinks, with some finding unexpected love and others embroiled in hilarious misunderstandings. Jacqueline, for instance, finds herself getting close with her former flame, Donald, much to the chagrin of her daughter, Ellie.

As they continue to explore their feelings for one another, Donald pays a visit to Jacqueline's room, leading to an awkward encounter with her daughter. Ellie, furious at her mother's antics, decides to take matters into her own hands and enlists the help of barman Mateo to sabotage their relationship.

Elsewhere in the resort, hairdresser Liam is busy preparing for a meeting with a famous client. As he works tirelessly to get things ready, he is interrupted by the arrival of his ex-wife, Natalie, who has come to surprise him.

Overwhelmed by her visit, Liam is unsure how to react, especially when he discovers that Natalie has brought along her new boyfriend, a wealthy man who is eager to shower her with gifts and attention. As the tension between them boils over, Liam is left to ponder whether he still has feelings for his ex.

Despite the chaos that ensues, Episode 2 of Benidorm season 8 ultimately leaves viewers with a sense of warmth and humor. As the guests of the Solana resort continue to navigate their way through life's ups and downs, it becomes clear that no matter where life takes them, they will always find a way to make each other laugh.
