Benidorm season 5 episode 4, titled Episode 4, is an exciting installment in this long-running and beloved British comedy series. Set in the popular Spanish resort town of Benidorm, the show follows the antics of a group of holidaymakers as they try to make the most of their time in the sun.
In this episode, we catch up with the Garveys, a family who have been coming to Benidorm for years and who always manage to get themselves into some sort of trouble. The patriarch of the family, Mick, is desperate to win the fancy dress competition at the hotel, but his attempts to dress as Lady Gaga are met with mixed reactions from the rest of the guests.
Meanwhile, his wife Janice is struggling to keep up with their son Michael, who has developed a sudden interest in bodybuilding. As she tries to keep him from overdoing it at the hotel gym, she also has to contend with the attentions of a handsome Spanish waiter who seems to be taking a shine to her.
Elsewhere in the hotel, new guests are arriving, including Jackie, a middle-aged woman who is looking for love, and her son Martin, who is somewhat overprotective of his mother's romantic interests. When Jackie starts to hit it off with a charming gentleman, Martin is determined to put a stop to their budding romance before it goes any further.
As always, the staff at the hotel are facing their own challenges. Manageress Joyce is trying to keep everyone in line, but finds herself at odds with her assistant, Kate, who is more interested in partying than working. And when a group of rowdy Geordies arrive on the scene, things threaten to get out of hand.
Throughout the episode, we are treated to plenty of laughs, as well as some heartwarming moments as the various characters navigate their way through their holiday experiences. With its sharp writing, great performances, and sunny Spanish setting, Benidorm continues to be a firm favorite with audiences, and this episode is no exception. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer to the series, there's plenty to enjoy here.
