In the third season of the popular British sitcom Benidorm, the third episode sees the Solana Resort welcomed by a group of enthusiastic carnival goers looking forward to an exciting day. However, things don't go as planned when Madge (played by Sheila Reid) receives some unexpected news. Meanwhile, Geoff (played by Johnny Vegas) tries to reconnect with his estranged wife and his son, but his efforts are met with resistance.
The episode begins with Madge waking up on the sofa in her apartment, and as soon as she realizes where she is, she bursts into tears. Her friend Janice (played by Siobhan Finneran) is there to comfort her and offer her support as she deals with some upsetting news. Janice lends an ear and tries to cheer Madge up in the best way she can.
Soon after, we see a group of excited carnival-goers arriving at the Solana Resort, all decked out in their best carnival costumes. Troy (played by Paul Bazely), the hotel's entertainment manager, tries to get everyone hyped up for the day's festivities as they prepare to leave the hotel for the carnival.
But amidst all the excitement, Madge is dealing with some serious issues. She confides in Janice about some bad news she received, causing Janice to try and rally the troops to raise some money to help Madge out of her troubles.
As the group prepares to leave the resort for the carnival, Geoff tries to make himself useful and reconnect with his estranged wife, who isn't having it. Meanwhile, Geoff's son tries to deal with his father's presence in his life, but he's not sure if he's ready to forgive him yet.
Throughout the day, the carnival-goers indulge in all sorts of fun activities, including a mini-golf tournament, carnival games, and a lot of drinking. But as the day progresses, things start getting out of hand. Geoff gets into a fight with his wife's new fiancé, causing chaos amongst the carnival-goers.
In the end, Janice manages to raise the money Madge needs, giving her some much-needed relief. And as the group prepares to head back to the resort, Troy announces that they have lost the mini-golf tournament, but everyone still had a great time nevertheless.
