In the season 3 premiere of Benidorm, the Solana resort is back in full swing, with returning guests and new faces alike. The Garvey family has returned for another summer holiday, and this time they're joined by Mick's estranged father Stan, who's looking to make amends with his son.
Meanwhile, the staff of the Solana are dealing with their own personal dramas. Manager Joyce Temple-Savage is still recovering from the shock of last season's reveal that she has a daughter, and is struggling to balance her new family responsibilities with the demands of running the resort. Cissy, the hotel's elderly cabaret act, is upset when she finds out her son is planning to sell the family home, and Martin, the Solana's resident barman, has a surprise visitor from his past.
As the guests settle in for their holiday, tensions begin to rise. The Garvey family's youngest member, Michael, is causing chaos as usual, while Stan's arrival puts Mick on edge. The arrival of some rowdy stag do guests, led by the boisterous Madge, also causes a stir.
Despite the drama, the staff of the Solana do their best to keep things running smoothly. Mateo, the hotel's cheeky barman, is up to his usual tricks, while Les/Lesley, the hotel's transvestite hairdresser, is on hand to provide a listening ear and a glamorous makeover.
As the holiday unfolds, secrets are revealed and new relationships are formed, while old grudges threaten to resurface. By the end of the episode, it's clear that this season of Benidorm is set to be just as dramatic, funny, and heartwarming as those that have come before. Fans of the show won't want to miss a single episode.
