Benidorm season 2 episode 7 titled "Episode 7" follows the same premise as previous episodes – showcasing the hilarious and cringe-worthy escapades of the quirky and charming guests at the Solana resort in Benidorm. It's a sitcom that thrives on character development with each episode throwing light on the quirks and idiosyncrasies of its guests.
The episode starts off with the arrival of a new guest – Gavin who has come to propose to his girlfriend. His grand proposal plans involve a flash mob with the staff and guests of the resort, but things quickly go awry when no one shows up. Meanwhile, Gavin's girlfriend is outraged by the incompetence of the resort staff and threatens to leave.
Another guest who is seeking redemption is Janice, who has returned to the Solana to make amends with her sister. Janice's act of redemption, however, involves an old fashioned fish and chips dinner that sends everything into disarray. She turns to the staff at the bar to help her pull off a surprise for her sister.
Elsewhere, Kate and Martin are on a romantic getaway trip to Benidorm, and while Martin is smitten, Kate is not happy with the state of their relationship and keeps second-guessing their future together. Tensions rise when Martin's ex-wife shows up at the resort, and Kate starts to get jealous.
The staff at the resort also find themselves ensnared in their own drama. Donald and Jacqueline are struggling to keep their affair a secret, while Mateo and Lesley argue about money. Mateo is furious at Lesley for not getting him the commission he was promised, but Lesley insists that her beauty salon is worth more than what Mateo is demanding.
As the episode progresses, things unravel quickly as different storylines converge. Gavin finally manages to pull off his proposal, but with a twist. The flash mob he'd planned earlier creates an unexpected show, with hilarious consequences. Kate puts Martin to the test, and the unexpected arrival of his ex-wife raises the stakes. Meanwhile, Janice's fish and chips dinner creates a disaster, and the staff at the bar have to scramble to save the day.
Overall, this episode is another fun-filled installment of the Benidorm series, with plenty of laughs and cringe-worthy moments. The comedic timing is spot-on, and the ensemble cast continues to deliver stellar performances. It's a light-hearted, feel-good episode that's guaranteed to put a smile on the viewer's face.
