The second episode of Benidorm's tenth season takes a closer look at the experiences of the holidaymakers staying in the Solana resort. The episode focuses on the dynamics between the different characters and their respective personal lives.
Joyce Temple-Savage, the manager of the resort, is preoccupied with a health scare and her job. She has to deal with a problematic guest, but with her team's help, she manages to sort it out. Meanwhile, she also receives a visit from her son, who has a request that sets her off on a journey of self-discovery.
Eddie, Liam and Sam, three British lads, are hoping to enjoy their first lads' holiday and to find love along the way. Their bonding together is threatened when their differing priorities come to light. Eddie has his eyes set on a particular lady, whereas Sam’s main concern is getting his hands on some drugs. Liam, on the other hand, is the one with the most level-headed approach.
Sheron and Billy Dawson, who are struggling with their marriage, are also present in the Solana Resort. The couple is aimless in trying to find a way to fix things between them. Sheron is convinced that her husband is cheating on her and goes to great lengths to uncover the truth.
Muriel, a regular at the resort, is short-tempered and never one to take to anyone. However, she decides to befriend her new neighbour, Pauline, and they bond over their shared stories of motherhood and family.
The Garveys, a family that has been coming to the Solana resort for years, make an appearance. This season, Mick and Janice's granddaughter, Kaylee, joins them on holiday. Kaylee is determined to make the most of her stay and have a good time by herself. However, her grandparents are overprotective and do everything they can to limit her independence.
As usual, Mateo Castellanos, the barman, is busy at the bar, serving drinks and entertaining guests. He is always on the lookout for ways to make a quick buck and has his sights set on pitching his Spanish-themed bar idea to Joyce. Mateo also tries to get on the good side of Noreen, a resident of the resort, but things don't go according to plan.
The episode is full of laughs, with hilarious situations that arise and funny exchanges between the characters. Viewers can also expect plenty of drama as relationships are tested and truths are revealed.
Overall, the second episode of Benidorm's tenth season is a must-watch for fans of the show. It delivers all the laughs, drama, and entertainment viewers have come to expect from this iconic British sitcom.
