Ep 5. Lucy's School / Baby Dragon

Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom is a British animated television series which follows the adventures of a fairy princess named Holly, her best friend, a young elf called Ben, and their diverse group of friends who live in the Little Kingdom. In season 4, episode 5, titled "Lucy's School / Baby Dragon," the little ones enter some exciting new adventures.

The first part, "Lucy's School," starts with Lucy, a young fox, joining the Little Kingdom's school for animals. Lucy seems to be nervous and scared about her first day of school, but she quickly feels at ease under Ben's kind tutelage. Ben, who is also her teacher, takes Lucy on a quick tour of the school and introduces her to his other animal students, including a tortoise, a pumpkin, a snail, and a rabbit.

Lucy is excited to be in the same class with her new friends and eagerly listens as Ben starts the day's lesson, which is about the stars and the moon. Ben uses his magic elf powers to project images of stars and constellations on the blackboard to help his students understand the lesson. The class is excited by the beauty and wonder of space, but Lucy begins to feel left out because she can’t fly up to the stars to see them up close.

Ben quickly comes to her rescue and decides to take his class to the moon for a field trip. The students are thrilled to travel far away and even more amazed by the wonders of the moon. They jump, hop, and roll around on the moon's light, bouncy surface, while Lucy continues to be nervous about falling off.

On the second part of the episode, "Baby Dragon," Holly and her friends happen upon a rare and beautiful egg that's just waiting to hatch. The egg is blue with green spots all over it and has a tiny dent in the top, indicating that something is trying to break out. Friends of Little Kingdom are curious to know what's inside, and Holly and her gang make it their mission to find out.

After some investigating, they discover that the egg belongs to the famous Wise Old Elf, who enchanted the egg with his magic powers to help it hatch. Soon enough, the egg cracks open and reveals a cute and cuddly baby dragon. Holly and her friends become good friends with the baby dragon, but when the Wise Old Elf returns, he learns that his trick for hatching the baby dragon is now discovered.

The Wise Old Elf insists that baby dragons should never be put into a bird cage to keep them safe, as the gang had planned to do so. He tells the children to set the baby dragon free, or to find the proper place to look after it. Holly and her friends are disappointed, but they soon come up with a solution. They build a mini dragon's cave in the forest for the baby dragon, where she flaps her wings and breathes fire to her heart's content.

Overall, this episode of Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom is a delightful and entertaining adventure for children of all ages. The show’s combination of humor, magic, and loveable characters create an engaging and immersive story that teaches children about the importance of friendship, bravery, and creativity.
