Ep 16. Tadpoles / Cows

Tadpoles / Cows is the sixteenth episode of the first season of the children's television show, Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom. The show revolves around the everyday adventures of a young fairy named Holly and her best friend, a young elf named Ben.

In the episode Tadpoles, Holly and Ben venture out of their world and travel to a nearby pond to see tadpoles. Holly is excited to see the tadpoles grow into frogs. However, when the tadpoles start disappearing, Holly and Ben set out to find the culprit. Along the way, they encounter Mr. Gnome, who claims to have seen a monster lurking around the pond. Holly and Ben discover that the monster is actually a friendly fish, who has been eating the tadpoles to protect them from a bird that has been preying on them. Holly and Ben teach the fish a way to protect the tadpoles from the bird without eating them, and they all celebrate the tadpoles growing into frogs.

In the second part of the episode, Cows, the group goes on a picnic and encounters cows grazing in the meadow. Ben, being an elf, has never seen a cow before and is fascinated by them. However, he accidentally scares the cows and they run away to their cowshed. When the cows refuse to come out, Holly and Ben use their magic to disguise themselves as cows and enter the cowshed. They discover that the cows are afraid of a spider, and Holly uses her magic to remove the spider and calm the cows. The cows then come out, and Ben gets to experience the joy of milking a cow.
