In Below Deck Mediterranean season 7 episode 6, titled "Walkie of Shame," the crew of the Lady Michelle yacht is faced with yet another demanding charter. Chief stew Katie Flood continues to clash with second stew Lexi Wilson, causing tension throughout the interior team. Meanwhile, Captain Sandy Yawn becomes increasingly frustrated with the radio communication issues on board and tasks engineer Mathew Shea with fixing the walkie-talkies.
As the charter guests keep the crew on their toes with constant requests and outings, deckhand David Pascoe finds himself in a sticky situation after a night out. He wakes up in a stranger's bed with no memory of how he got there, leading to an embarrassing "walkie of shame" back to the yacht. However, his behavior and lack of responsibility do not sit well with the rest of the crew.
Amidst all the drama, Chef Mathew is faced with a unique challenge when the charter guests request a vegan menu. He struggles to come up with tasty, creative dishes that can satisfy the guests' dietary restrictions. The pressure is on as he races against the clock to deliver flavorful meals that meet their expectations.
Tensions between the interior crew continue to escalate, and Katie is forced to confront Lexi about her attitude and work ethic. Lexi pushes back, feeling unfairly targeted, but after a heart-to-heart with Captain Sandy, she realizes the need to step up her game and work harder to earn the respect of her colleagues.
As the charter comes to a close, the crew reflects on the ups and downs of the past few days. With a new sense of determination and an improved communication system in place, they prepare for the next round of guests with high hopes for a smoother journey ahead.
