In Below Deck Mediterranean season 4 episode 8, titled "What Eze The Problem?", the crew of the superyacht Sirocco continues to face challenges as they try to provide the best possible service to their guests. The episode kicks off with deckhand Jack Stirrup feeling homesick and missing his girlfriend, leading to a heart-to-heart talk with his colleague Aesha Scott. Meanwhile, chief stew Hannah Ferrier is feeling the pressure to impress the guests and keep everything running smoothly, including dealing with a difficult vegan dinner request.
The highlight of the episode is the arrival of a new charter guest, a wealthy businessman named João Franco and his friends. Franco, who is originally from Zimbabwe, immediately hits it off with deckhand Travis Michalzik due to their shared love for rugby and South Africa. The guests are quick to settle in and enjoy the yacht's amenities, including a water slide and jet skis. However, things soon take a turn when the group decides to leave the yacht and visit the nearby town of Eze, which proves to be more of a challenge than they anticipated.
Despite warnings from Hannah and the captain, the guests insist on going to Eze, which is known for its narrow and steep streets that are not designed for large vehicles. The group rents two cars and sets off on their adventure, but quickly gets lost and stuck in traffic. After several tense moments and some miscommunication, Travis manages to navigate the cars to the town center, where they find themselves facing another obstacle: pedestrians, stairs, and uneven terrain that make it difficult to walk around.
The crew's woes continue when they receive a call from the captain, who informs them that one of the guests, Franco's friend Tarin, has injured her ankle and cannot walk. This means that the crew needs to find a way to transport Tarin back to the yacht safely, without worsening her injury or causing any more disruption to the town. The situation is made even more challenging by the fact that the guests are not answering their phones or communicating clearly with the crew.
As the crew scrambles to come up with a solution, tensions rise among them and with the guests. Hannah and the chef, Mila Kolomeitseva, argue over the vegan food options, while Travis and another deckhand, Colin Macy-O'Toole, disagree on how best to handle the transportation situation. Things finally come to a head when Franco confronts Hannah and accuses her of not catering to the guests' needs and being disrespectful to his culture.
Overall, "What Eze The Problem?" is an action-packed episode that highlights the challenges of working in the luxury yachting industry. From dealing with demanding guests to navigating unfamiliar terrain, the crew is pushed to their limits as they strive to provide top-notch service at all times. Despite the friction and disagreements, the episode also showcases the bonds that form between the crew members as they work together to overcome obstacles and make the most of their time on the yacht.
