The Below Deck Mediterranean season 2 premiered with an episode titled "Who's The Boss?". This episode introduces viewers to the new cast and sets up the drama for the rest of the season.
The episode opens with the crew members arriving at the yacht, which is docked in Croatia. They are excited to meet each other and get started on their new adventure. Captain Sandy Yawn greets everyone and sets the rules for the yacht. She tells them that they need to work hard and play hard, but most importantly, they need to work together as a team.
The crew is made up of a mix of new and returning members. Hannah Ferrier is back as the chief stewardess and is joined by second stew Christine "Bugsy" Drake. Third stew is Lauren Cohen, and deckhands include Wesley Walton, Malia White, and Bobby Giancola. Newcomers include Chef Adam Glick and first-time deckhand Max Hagley.
As soon as the crew starts working, tensions rise. Hannah and Bugsy clash immediately when Bugsy tries to tell Hannah how to do her job. Hannah is not used to having a second stew who she doesn't know and who is so eager to take control. Meanwhile, the deckhands are struggling to work together as well. Bobby has a crush on Malia but gets jealous when Max starts flirting with her.
The first charter is a group of six friends who want to celebrate one of their birthdays. They are high-maintenance and have a lot of requests for the crew. The crew works hard to meet their demands, but it's not easy. There are issues in the kitchen when Chef Adam burns some of the food, and Bugsy spills a drink on one of the guests.
Captain Sandy notices the tension between the crew members and calls a meeting to address it. She tells them that they need to work together and communicate better. She also introduces them to the chain of command on the yacht, which starts with her as the captain and trickles down to the lowest-ranking crew member.
The rest of the episode focuses on the crew members trying to work together and impress the guests. There are some funny moments, like when Bugsy and Hannah dress up as mermaids for a themed dinner party. There are also some tense moments, like when the guests complain about the food or when Bobby confronts Max about his flirting with Malia.
Overall, the first episode of Below Deck Mediterranean season 2 sets up the drama for the rest of the season. Viewers can expect to see more conflicts between the crew members, more high-maintenance guests, and more stunning views of the Mediterranean.
