In the fourth episode of the fourth season of Being Human (UK), titled "A Spectre Calls," the trio of supernatural beings find themselves dealing with a new threat. Annie is visited by a ghostly figure who claims to be her former landlord, and he has some ominous warnings about what's to come. Meanwhile, Tom is struggling with his new role as leader of the werewolf pack, and Hal becomes obsessed with cleaning the house to the point of insanity.
As Annie tries to unravel the mystery of the ghostly visitor, she realizes that he may not be who he claims to be. Her investigations lead her to a local haunted house where she discovers a horrifying secret that could destroy everything she's worked for.
At the same time, Tom is trying to keep the peace in the pack as a new group of wolves moves into the area. He's never been one for diplomacy, but he knows that fighting will only lead to more bloodshed. As tensions continue to rise, Tom must make some difficult decisions to ensure that the pack survives.
Meanwhile, Hal is struggling with his addiction to cleaning. He's convinced that if he can just get the house clean enough, he'll be able to control the darkness inside him. But as his obsession grows, he begins to push those around him away, including Tom and Annie.
As the episode progresses, the three friends become increasingly isolated from one another as they each deal with their own problems. It's clear that they need to come together to face the looming threat, but can they put aside their own issues in time to save themselves and those they love?
"A Spectre Calls" is a tense and gripping episode that delves deeper into the psyche of each character. It's clear that they are all struggling to find their place in the world, and their supernatural abilities only complicate matters. As the season continues, it will be interesting to see how their individual storylines intersect and ultimately converge.
