In the Morning is the sixth episode of season 2 of Being Human (UK). The episode starts with George waking up to find Nina is not responding to his calls. He becomes worried and tells Annie about it. Meanwhile, Mitchell is still coping up with his vampire cravings, and he is not happy to see a couple of vampires loitering in their area. They are looking for a vampire wreaking havoc in the city.
After some time, Nina shows up looking disheveled and scared. She tells the group that she was attacked, and they realize that George's worst fears have come to pass. Nina has been scratched by a werewolf, and she has the curse now. George is shocked and angry and blames Mitchell for their situation since he was the one who convinced George to turn Nina to cure her cancer. He tells Mitchell to leave and not come back.
Mitchell goes for a walk to clear his head but ends up dangerously close to succumbing to his vampire cravings. He meets a young girl and almost bites her, but he manages to restrain himself. Meanwhile, Nina is struggling to come to terms with her new reality of being a werewolf. She asks for George's help to lock her in the basement during her transformation, but he is still angry and in denial.
Annie tries to help Nina, but she is not much of a comfort, given that Annie has never been in the same situation. She decides to reach out to another ghost who has dealt with werewolf transformations and ghostly unrequited love. The ghost tells Annie that they need to break the curse before the next full moon, or Nina's transformation will be irreversible.
George is desperate to find a cure and turns to Herrick for help. He wants him to turn Nina back into a human, but Herrick's solution is not what George is hoping for. He tells George that they need to kill Nina before the transformation is complete. George is disgusted by the idea and refuses to do it. Herrick tells him to think about it and leaves him to his thoughts.
Meanwhile, Mitchell is still struggling with his addiction and seeks help from another vampire, Ivan. Ivan is not very helpful, and Mitchell realizes that he is still alone in his fight. In a moment of weakness, Mitchell almost feeds on a prostitute, but he backs down and runs away.
The episode ends with Nina transforming in the basement as George watches in horror. Annie breaks the news that there is no cure, and they can only kill Nina to break the curse. George is torn between his love for Nina and his duty to protect others. He tries to convince himself that there is another way but deep down, he knows what he has to do.
In the Morning is a tense and emotional episode that highlights the struggles of the characters as they deal with the consequences of their actions. The episode deals with themes of love, addiction, duty, and sacrifice in a nuanced and thought-provoking way.
