Ep 1. Episode 1

Beforeigners is a Norwegian sci-fi series set in present-day Oslo, where people from different eras in history suddenly start to appear. The first season followed the story of two police officers, Lars and Alfhildr, as they investigated crimes committed by “beforeigners” (time-displaced people) from the past.

Season 2 picks up where the first season left off, with Lars and Alfhildr continuing their work to protect the modern-day citizens of Oslo from the dangers posed by these displaced people. Episode 1 opens with Lars and Alfhildr in hot pursuit of a beforeigner who has just committed a robbery. They chase him through a busy street, but he is surprisingly agile, and manages to evade them.

Later, at the police station, Lars and Alfhildr are briefed on a new case. A wealthy businessman has been found dead in his home, and there are signs that beforeigners may have been involved. The case is assigned to Lars and Alfhildr, and they set out to investigate.

They start with the victim’s family, where they find out that the businessman had been dealing with a beforeigner from ancient Rome. The beforeigner, a gladiator, had been hired to compete in a popular fighting tournament that is held every year in Oslo. The businessman had been sponsoring the gladiator, but had recently ended his contract for unknown reasons.

The detectives then visit the tournament organizers, where they discover that the gladiator has gone missing. The organizers are reluctant to help, but Lars and Alfhildr think that the gladiator may be the key to solving the case. They decide to track him down, but they need to do it quickly – the tournament is due to start in just a few days.

As they search for the gladiator, Lars and Alfhildr encounter resistance from some beforeigners who are unhappy with the way they are being treated by the modern-day society. They are also intrigued by a new group of beforeigners who call themselves the “Vikings of the future”. The Vikings claim to be time travelers from the distant future, and they have come to the present day to build a utopian society that transcends the limitations of time and space.

The detectives eventually track down the gladiator, who is hiding out in a rundown apartment building on the outskirts of Oslo. He is initially hostile towards them, but they manage to gain his trust by promising to help him escape from the tournament organizers. The gladiator tells them that the businessman had been blackmailing him and that he had ended the contract in order to protect himself.

With this new information, Lars and Alfhildr start to piece together the events that led to the businessman’s death. They realize that the gladiator is not the killer, but that he may be in danger from the real murderer. They race back to the tournament to try and stop the killer before it’s too late.

Episode 1 of Beforeigners season 2 is a thrilling and action-packed start to the new season. The episode sets up a number of intriguing plotlines, including the emergence of the Vikings of the future and the ongoing tensions between beforeigners and modern-day Oslo. Fans of the first season will be delighted to see Lars and Alfhildr back in action, and newcomers to the show will be drawn in by the unique premise and fast-paced storytelling.
