Beet The Vandel Buster is an anime television series that aired from 2004 to 2005, based on a manga series of the same name by Riku Sanjo and Koji Inada. It follows the story of Beet, a young boy with a strong desire to protect humanity from the Vandels. Vandels are terrifying monsters that eat humans, which has led to the destruction of many towns and cities. The only people capable of defeating these Vandels are the Vandel Busters, who possess special abilities and are trained to kill them. Beet idolizes the Vandel Busters and dreams of becoming one himself.

The show stars Toshio Furukawa as the titular character, Beet. Furukawa is a legendary voice actor in Japan, having lent his voice to iconic characters like Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z and Ace from One Piece. Beet is a brave and determined boy who is always willing to do whatever it takes to protect humanity from the Vandels, even if it means putting his own life on the line. His unwavering resolve to become a Vandel Buster is what sets him apart from the rest.

Hikaru Midorikawa plays Slade, Beet's childhood friend and mentor. Midorikawa is another veteran voice actor in Japan, having played characters like Heero Yuy from Gundam Wing and Tamahome from Fushigi Yuugi. Slade is a skilled Vandel Buster who takes Beet under his wing and trains him to become stronger. He is the voice of reason in the series, always reminding Beet to think before acting.

Unsho Ishizuka voices Zenon, one of the most powerful Vandel Busters in the show. Ishizuka is known for his deep, commanding voice, and has played iconic characters like Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop and Professor Oak from Pokemon. Zenon is a gruff and serious man who becomes an important ally to Beet and Slade. He teaches them about the history of the Vandel Busters and gives them valuable advice on how to defeat the Vandels.

Reiko Kiuchi plays Milfa, Beet's love interest in the show. Kiuchi is a prolific voice actress who has played characters like Yuzuru Otonashi from Angel Beats! and Kanae Naruko from Haikyu!!. Milfa is a kind and caring girl who supports Beet and his dream of becoming a Vandel Buster. She has a talent for healing and often assists the Vandel Busters in battle.

One of the most memorable characters in the show is Poala, voiced by child actress Ai Maeda. Maeda is known for her roles in anime like Digimon and Jungle Emperor Leo. Poala is a small fairy who accompanies Beet on his journey. She is an adorable and plucky character who provides comic relief in the series. Despite her size, she contributes greatly to Beet's battles with the Vandels.
