Meanwhile, John is excited to reconnect with his old wrestling partner, Dickie, who is visiting him and wants to relive the glory days.

As Lila tries to devise a plan to sneak off to Las Vegas, John and Dickie reminisce about their wrestling days, wearing their spandex and doing the signature moves. Eric jumps into the wrestling ring, too, showcasing his moves and taking a dubious pleasure in the pain he inflicts on himself.

In the middle of this chaos, Truman announces that he's bringing over his new girlfriend, Debbie, to meet the family. Elyse gets excited and starts to clean and re-arrange everything frantically, while John tries to bond with Debbie over his secret passion for carpentry.

When David shows up unannounced outside the Beef house, Lila sneaks out to see him, but she's caught by Elyse, who disapproves of him and threatens to call the cops. John intervenes, offering to talk to David and understanding Lila's eagerness to start a new chapter. While John and David share a joint and briefly bond over their shared love for "old-school" things, family drama continues inside the house, with Truman accidentally breaking the dining table and Debbie showing her true colors as a possessive and demanding girlfriend.

As the night progresses, the Beef family's dysfunction reaches a new level, with everyone roaring and shouting at each other, and Eric getting punched and bleeding profusely. It all culminates in an unexpected twist that involves a gun and an unlikely hero, but no spoilers here.

Overall, Beef House season 1 episode 1 sets the tone for the show's wacky and offbeat humor, playing up the eccentric personalities and the absurd situations that the Beef family finds themselves in. With its retro style, surreal editing, and deadpan acting, the show offers a fresh take on the classic family sitcom, while also paying homage to the absurdist humor of Tim and Eric's previous works.
