Becker season 4 episode 15, titled "It Had to Be Ew", follows the grumpy Dr. John Becker (played by Ted Danson) as he deals with yet another annoying patient. This time, it's a young girl named Meg (played by Mimi Lieber), who has come to the office with a mysterious rash.
Becker is immediately put off by Meg's overly cheerful demeanor, and he makes no effort to hide his irritation when she tells him that she's been itching for weeks. He orders some tests and reluctantly agrees to see her again the following day.
Meanwhile, Margaret (played by Hattie Winston) is dealing with her own office drama. Linda (played by Shawnee Smith), the nurse's assistant, has been stealing office supplies, and Margaret is struggling to figure out how to handle the situation.
Back in the exam room, Meg returns to see Becker with a new problem: her rash has spread to her face. Becker is even more annoyed than before, and he snaps at her for not following his instructions the day before. However, when he realizes that Meg is genuinely scared, he softens a bit and tries to reassure her.
At the end of the day, Jake (played by Alex Désert) invites Becker to his band's gig that night. Becker declines, but Margaret convinces him to go, and he reluctantly agrees.
At the gig, Becker is surprised to see Meg in the audience. She tells him that she's feeling better, and the two share a brief moment of connection before Jake's band starts playing. While he's initially skeptical of the music, Becker eventually gets into it, even singing along with the rest of the crowd.
The next day, Meg returns to the office one final time with good news: her rash is gone. Becker is relieved, but he's even more surprised when Meg gives him a hug and thanks him for all of his help.
"It Had to Be Ew" is a lighthearted episode of Becker that showcases both the show's witty humor and its heartwarming moments. It's a satisfying installment that fans of the series are sure to enjoy.
