Ep 14. V-Day

Becker season 4 episode 14 "V-Day" revolves around Valentine's Day, a day where love is in the air, and couples are busy celebrating their love for each other. However, our protagonist Dr. John Becker (played by Ted Danson) is not one who finds any excitement in the day. In fact, he loathes it.

Becker is not interested in attending a party, but Reggie insists, and to make matters worse, she offers to set him up with a girl at the party. Becker reluctantly agrees, but little does he know what is in store for him at the party. Meanwhile, Linda (played by Shawnee Smith), Becker's assistant, is upset that her boyfriend doesn't seem interested in Valentine's Day. She tries to convince him otherwise, but he tells her that he doesn't see the point of celebrating something that should be celebrated every day.

At the party, we see a different side of Becker. He meets Chris (played by Helen Slater), a conservative and charming woman who is looking for a good partner in life. The two hit it off, and we see Becker gradually warming up to the idea of romance. However, things don't quite go as planned as Chris reveals a shocking secret that leaves Becker completely surprised.

The episode is a refreshing break from the usual sarcastic humor that we see in Becker. We see the characters exploring their relationships and giving love a chance, albeit in their own peculiar way. The performances are top-notch, and the chemistry between the characters is remarkable. The episode leaves us with a warm and fuzzy feeling, and we are reminded of the fact that love can be found in the most unexpected places.

In a world where we are caught up in our busy lives and routines, it's nice to take a step back and celebrate love, and this episode of Becker does just that.
