Ep 5. The Usual Suspects

Becker season 3 episode 5 "The Usual Suspects" begins with Becker examining a man, who claims to have a bladder infection but is also complaining of back pain. Just as Becker is about to examine him, Reggie walks into the office and interrupts them. Reggie's ex-boyfriend, who she's still in love with, is now in town and she needs someone to talk to. The patient gets up to leave, and as he does, he accidentally knocks over a candy dish. Becker is disgusted and tells Reggie she needs to learn to have better taste in men.

Meanwhile, Jake stops by the diner to flirt with the new waitress, and Linda is not happy about it. She confronts Jake about his behavior and tells him that he needs to treat her with more respect. Jake laughs it off, but Linda tells him that if he ever tries to cheat on her, she's going to break every bone in his body.

Back at the office, Becker is complaining about Reggie's ex-boyfriend and how he's taken up all of her time. Linda suggests that Becker take Reggie out on a date to get her mind off of him. Becker is skeptical but eventually agrees to take her to a Knicks game.

Later that night, Becker and Reggie are at the game, but they're not having a good time. Reggie spends the whole game talking about her ex-boyfriend, and Becker can't stand it anymore. He tells her that she needs to move on and find someone new. Reggie is upset, but she eventually realizes that he's right. They leave the game early and head to a nearby bar.

At the bar, Becker and Reggie run into some of Becker's old friends from college, and they all start drinking heavily. As the night goes on, they get drunker and drunker, and Becker and Reggie end up heading back to Becker's apartment. When they get there, Becker starts to put the moves on Reggie, but she quickly shuts him down. She tells him that she can't have sex with him because she doesn't want to ruin their friendship. Becker is disappointed but agrees to hold off.

The next morning, Becker wakes up with a hangover and regrets what happened with Reggie. He tells her that he still wants to be her friend and hopes that they can put what happened behind them. Reggie is grateful and tells him that she feels the same way. They hug and agree to never talk about it again.

Overall, Becker season 3 episode 5 "The Usual Suspects" is an entertaining episode that showcases the friendship between Becker and Reggie. Although they have a few bumps in the road, they ultimately come out stronger on the other side. Fans of the show will enjoy seeing these two characters interact and grow closer together.
