In Beauty and the Beast season 2 episode 2, titled "Remember Love," viewers are taken on an emotional journey as Cat (played by Kristin Kreuk) struggles with her memories of Vincent (played by Jay Ryan) and how to move forward with their relationship after he was kidnapped and hypothetically killed in the previous season. Meanwhile, Vincent is trying to pick up the pieces of his life after being captured by the mysterious organization, Muirfield, and experimented on.

The episode begins with Cat waking up after having a vivid dream about Vincent. She confides in her sister, Heather (played by Nicole Gale Anderson), about her conflicting feelings of love and anger towards him for the way he vanished from her life without explanation. Heather encourages her to talk to Vincent and make peace with him so they can move forward with their relationship.

While Cat is grappling with her feelings, Vincent is trying to find a way to stop the experiments that Muirfield is conducting on other “beasts” like him. He seeks the help of an old friend, J.T. Forbes (played by Austin Basis), who helps him obtain access to a Muirfield informant who has agreed to provide information on the organization's plans.

Vincent then goes to meet the informant at an abandoned building, but things quickly go awry when Muirfield agents show up, revealing the informant to be a trap. Vincent manages to escape, but the near-death experience triggers a series of flashbacks related to his time in Afghanistan and a woman he met there named Alex (played by Bridget Regan).

Through the flashbacks, viewers see the relationship Vincent had with Alex and how their mission went terribly wrong, leading to her eventual death. The memories are overwhelming for Vincent, who is still grappling with the emotions tied to her death and the impact it has on his own identity.

Meanwhile, Cat is dealing with her own set of flashbacks related to a past relationship. She remembers an ex-boyfriend named Gabe (played by Sendhil Ramamurthy) who was also a member of Muirfield. She confides in her coworker, Tess (played by Nina Lisandrello), about her memories and how they affect her relationship with Vincent. Tess encourages her to talk to Vincent about it so they can work through their issues as a couple.

The episode culminates in a powerful scene where Vincent and Cat come face-to-face and talk through their respective past traumas. They open up to each other about their experiences and how they’ve affected them, leading to a deeper understanding of one another. Despite the challenges that lie ahead, both Vincent and Cat commit to working through their own issues and supporting each other.

Overall, "Remember Love" is an emotional and thought-provoking episode that delves into the complexities of personal trauma and the impact it has on relationships. Viewers will see how Cat and Vincent are still grappling with their respective pasts and how they must work together to move forward and create a future together. The flashbacks add depth and complexity to the characters and help to move the plot along, while the powerful scene between Cat and Vincent is a highlight of the episode.
