Ep 2. Point and Shoot

In the second episode of Beautiful People's first season, titled "Point and Shoot," we continue to follow the lives of the Stone family as they navigate their way through life in a technologically advanced future.

Sophie, the family's youngest daughter, has just turned 16 and is eager to start learning how to drive. However, her mother, Marsha, is hesitant about giving her the freedom to do so, as accidents in self-driving vehicles have become more frequent. Instead, Marsha offers to hire a personal driving tutor for Sophie.

Meanwhile, Tahir, one of the family's sons, is offered a job at a prestigious law firm in London. However, he soon realizes that the job is not what it seems and begins to question the morality of working for a firm that actively defends corporations responsible for environmental destruction and human rights abuses.

As Tahir grapples with his ethical dilemmas, his brother Nicky, who works as a personal trainer, starts to feel the pressure of constantly living in the public eye. When a former client accuses him of assault, Nicky must clear his name before it's too late.

Elsewhere, the family's matriarch, Lydia, is approached by a pharmaceutical company with an offer to test a new drug that promises to slow the aging process. As Lydia considers the offer, she must confront the possibility that her life may not be as fulfilling as she once believed it to be.

Throughout the episode, the Stone family is forced to confront the consequences of their actions and question what is truly important in their lives. As they grapple with their own struggles, they are reminded that they are all connected in a world where technology has erased many of the boundaries that once separated them. "Point and Shoot" is a thought-provoking exploration of the human experience in a future that is not too far away.
