Beat Shazam is a musical game show in which three teams of two compete against each other and the clock to identify a series of songs after hearing just a short clip. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins the grand prize of $1 million dollars.

Throughout the entire game, the teams have the opportunity to "Beat Shazam," by correctly identifying a song before the show's AI technology, "Shazam," can identify it. If successful, the team earns additional points towards their total score.

In addition to the game show elements, there are also performances by various musical guests throughout the episode, including popular hip-hop artist Pitbull.
