Ep 3. The Big Sleep

In Bear in the Big Blue House season 2 episode 3, titled The Big Sleep, things are starting to slow down in the big blue house. Bear, Tutter, Pip and Pop, and Treelo are all feeling sleepy and ready for a nap. Bear sets up a cozy nap area with blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals for everyone to get some rest.

But just as they settle in, they hear a loud noise coming from outside. Bear investigates and finds that a beaver has been chewing on a tree, causing it to fall over and block the path to the house. Bear must come up with a way to clear the path so that his friends can get some rest without any interruptions.

Meanwhile, the rest of the gang is having trouble falling asleep. Tutter tries counting sheep, but gets distracted by the noise outside. Pip and Pop try singing lullabies, but their off-key singing only makes things worse. And Treelo, ever the curious monkey, wants to explore the house instead of taking a nap.

As Bear works to clear the path, he comes up with a plan to tire out the beaver so that he will fall asleep and stop chewing on trees. He enlists the help of Luna, the moon, who suggests shining a bright light on the beaver to mimic daylight and trick him into thinking it's time to sleep. With Luna's help, Bear successfully puts the beaver to sleep and clears the path back to the house.

Back inside, Bear and his friends finally settle down for a nap. But just as they start to doze off, they hear another loud noise – this time coming from inside the house. They discover that Ojo, the little bear cub, has been tossing and turning in her sleep and accidentally knocked over some books. Bear helps Ojo get comfortable and teaches her some relaxation techniques to help her fall asleep more easily.

In the end, Bear and his friends are all able to get some much-needed rest and relaxation. The Big Sleep reminds us that sometimes, all we need is a little bit of peace and quiet to recharge our batteries and face the day ahead.
