In the episode "Poodle Justice" of Be Cool, Scooby-Doo season 1, the gang finds themselves in Paris, France. Velma is excited to visit the city because her favorite detective, Francois Fleaumont, resides there. They meet Francois, who invites them to attend a costume party at his mansion that night.
As they arrive at the party, they notice that everyone is dressed as poodles. Francois explains that the party is in honor of his beloved poodle, Fifi, who recently passed away. While everyone is enjoying themselves, Fifi's ghost appears, scaring everyone in attendance. The gang quickly realizes that someone is behind the ghostly appearances and vows to solve the mystery.
As they investigate, they come across several suspects, including Francois's rival detective, Jacques, and his poodle, Coco. They also learn that Fifi's death was not accidental but was actually a murder. Velma, being a fan of Francois, takes the reins on the investigation, but her admiration for him makes her miss some important clues.
Meanwhile, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo encounter Coco and quickly befriend him. They follow Coco and end up at a pet grooming salon. There they discover that Fifi was not the only poodle that was murdered. The salon owner reveals that many other poodles were also killed in the same manner as Fifi.
The gang regroups, and Daphne suggests that they attend Jacques's poodle show to investigate further. There, they witness Jacques being overly harsh with his poodles, and they find evidence linking him to the murders. They realize that Jacques was killing poodles who were better than his own to ensure his poodle would always win in shows.
As they confront Jacques, he tries to escape, but Velma, not wanting to let her hero down, attempts to capture him herself. In the end, the gang works together to catch Jacques and solve the mystery once and for all.
"Poodle Justice" is a fun and exciting episode filled with mystery, humor, and a lot of poodle-related puns. The gang's adventure in Paris and the introduction of unique characters make this episode a must-watch for any fan of Be Cool, Scooby-Doo.
