In Baywatch season 9 episode 15 titled "Grand Prix," the Baywatch team is invited to participate in a lifeguard competition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Mitch (played by David Hasselhoff) and his team, including Logan (played by Jaason Simmons) and Caroline (played by Yasmine Bleeth), are all excited to compete against the best lifeguards in the world.
The competition begins with an opening ceremony, with each team showcasing their skills to the crowd. Carolina, who is somewhat of a local celebrity in Brazil, leads the Baywatch team's performance, which receives a standing ovation from the crowd.
The first event in the competition is a beach relay race. Mitch chooses Logan, Caroline, and Billy (played by Billy Warlock) to compete for Baywatch. During the race, Caroline stumbles and falls, causing the team to lose valuable time. Despite this setback, Logan is able to catch up and win the race for Baywatch.
The next event is a paddleboard race, with Mitch representing Baywatch. He races against a skilled Brazilian lifeguard named Roberto (played by Cesar Mello), who is known for his fast paddling skills. The two lifeguards are neck and neck throughout most of the race, but Mitch ultimately pulls ahead and wins by a narrow margin.
The third event is a swimming race. Caroline represents Baywatch and is up against a strong Australian lifeguard named Lisa (played by Deborah Coulls). Despite a strong start, Caroline begins to tire towards the end of the race and ultimately loses to Lisa.
The final event of the competition is a lifeguard skills competition, which involves rescuing a simulated drowning victim from the ocean and performing CPR. Billy is chosen to represent Baywatch in this event, but things take a turn when the simulated victim turns out to be a real person in need of rescuing. Billy quickly jumps into action and saves the person's life, impressing the judges and ensuring Baywatch's victory in the competition.
In addition to the lifeguard competition, "Grand Prix" also features a subplot involving J.D. (played by Michael Newman) and his attempts to impress a wealthy Brazilian woman named Marisa (played by Gisele Bundchen). J.D. pretends to be a wealthy businessman in order to impress Marisa, but his lies eventually catch up to him, leading to a humorous series of events.
Overall, "Grand Prix" is an action-packed episode of Baywatch that showcases the team's lifeguarding skills while also providing some lighthearted comedic moments. With beautiful scenery, intense competition, and a heartwarming rescue scene, this episode is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seat.
