Ep 18. Lost and Found

On this episode of Baywatch, titled "Lost and Found," Mitch and Stephanie are haunted by a tragedy from the past as they help a young woman search for her missing father. Meanwhile, Caroline is embarrassed by the presence of her overweight childhood friend, causing her to confront her own insecurities.

The episode begins with Mitch and Stephanie helping a young woman named Trina search for her missing father. Trina explains that her father, a marine biologist, went out to sea to tag some sharks, but never returned. Despite their best efforts, the search turns up nothing and they are forced to call off the rescue mission. Mitch and Stephanie are left feeling helpless as they console Trina.

Meanwhile, Caroline is thrilled to reunite with her childhood friend, Cathy, who she hasn't seen in years. However, Caroline is embarrassed by Cathy's weight and tries to hide her from the other lifeguards. This causes Cathy to feel ashamed of her appearance and she ends up having a heart-to-heart with Caroline, where they discuss their insecurities.

As the episode continues, Mitch and Stephanie receive a surprise call from Trina, who has found a piece of her father's equipment. They head out to the location where she found it and begin searching again. This time, they come across a piece of wreckage that matches Trina's father's boat. They dive down to investigate and find Trina's father trapped inside the wreckage. They manage to free him and bring him back to shore, where he is reunited with his daughter.

Meanwhile, Caroline and Cathy join the rest of the lifeguards for a beach volleyball game. Cathy surprises everyone with her impressive skills and ends up being the star of the game. Caroline realizes that she was wrong to be ashamed of her friend and apologizes.

The episode ends with Trina's father thanking Mitch and Stephanie for their help and Caroline and Cathy sharing a heartfelt hug. This episode of Baywatch showcases the importance of friendship, self-acceptance, and never giving up hope.
