In Battle on the Beach season 1 episode 3, titled "Battling the Bedrooms," the three teams of designers face their toughest challenge yet as they transform the bedrooms of their beachfront homes. Each team is given a budget of $20,000 and three days to create a dreamy, coastal-inspired bedroom that will impress the judges.
Team Ty and Grace kick things off with a bold color scheme of navy and orange, inspired by the ocean and sea creatures. They use custom-built headboards and wall murals to add texture and depth to their design. However, their choice to showcase a velvet blanket draws criticism from judge Taniya Nayak, who deems it too heavy for a beach home.
Next up, Team Josh and Sarah tackle their bedroom design with a focus on natural materials and a muted color palette. Their centerpiece is a hand-crafted driftwood headboard that adds a touch of rustic charm to the space. The judges appreciate their design, but critic DeRon Jenkins notes that the room lacks some of the wow factor of their competitors.
Finally, Team Alison and Mike take on their bedroom with a beachy vibe that incorporates a lot of white and blue tones. To add a sense of luxury to the space, they install a custom-built fireplace and a statement chandelier. While the judges appreciate their bold choices, they note that the room lacks cohesiveness and feels a bit crowded.
As the teams race to complete their designs in time for the judges' visit, tensions rise and mistakes are made. But when the final rooms are revealed, it's clear that each team has brought their own unique style and creativity to the challenge.
With each team earning praise for different elements of their designs, it's anyone's guess as to who will come out on top. Tune in to Battle on the Beach season 1 episode 3 to see which team the judges declare the winner of the bedroom battle.
