Battle Dome was a sports entertainment television program that aired from 1999 to 2001. The series was hosted by Terry Crews and featured a group of fighters competing in a high-octane arena for fame and glory. The show was produced by MGM Television and distributed by Syndicated.
The format of the show was simple but intense. Two teams of warriors battled each other in four challenging rounds that tested their physical prowess and strategic skills. The contestants were clad in futuristic armor and equipped with a variety of weapons and tools that aided them in their task. The teams competed on behalf of their home cities and were cheered on by enthusiastic fans who packed the arena.
The first round was known as 'Norway's Round'. It was a race to the top of a twelve-foot tower, with the players fighting each other to reach the top before everyone else. The first four players to reach the top of the tower qualified for the second round.
The second round was called 'Crash and Bash'. It involved two of the team's players competing in a fight to the death. The contestants had to knock each other off a platform using a variety of weapons, including sticks, discs, and tridents. Only the winner of each match advanced to the next round.
The third round was known as 'The Tower'. It was an obstacle race that involved climbing a 30-foot high tower and dropping onto a giant airbag. The contestants had to stop at different positions on the tower and collect rings before reaching the top. The first four players to complete the race qualified for the final round.
The final round was called 'The Dome'. The two teams battled in a high-tech arena that had different levels and obstacles. The players had to use their weapons and tools to outsmart and outfight their opponents. The team with the most points at the end of the round won the game and earned bragging rights for their city.
The show featured a diverse and talented cast of fighters who brought their own unique personalities and skills to the arena. Some of the notable players included Bobbie Brown, Brien Blakely, Chad Bannon, Christian Boeving, Ed Lover, Gary Kasper, Erica Dahm, Jaclyn Dahm, Mike O'Hearn, Jesse Capelli, and Nicole Dahm.
Terry Crews was the perfect host for the show, bringing his commanding presence and energetic personality to the arena. He was always on hand to offer commentary and provide insight into the different strategies and techniques used by the fighters.
