In Batman Beyond season 2 episode 11, titled "Revenant," the episode starts with a man named Willie Watt getting released from prison after serving time for his previous crimes as a teenager. Upon his release, he is greeted by his old gang who are happy to have him back. However, Willie seems to be haunted by the ghost of his criminal past and is struggling to fit back into society.
Meanwhile, Batman is on his nightly patrol and comes across a dangerous crime scene in an abandoned warehouse. He is shocked to find that there is a new villain on the streets who is attacking criminals and causing chaos in the city. The villain calls himself "Revenant," referring to himself as the ghost of justice who has returned to punish the wicked.
At first, Batman thinks that Revenant might be an ally, until he discovers that the villain's methods of justice are brutal and unforgiving. Revenant is targeting not only his old gang members, but also innocent civilians who have been involved in criminal activity at some point in their lives.
As Batman continues to investigate Revenant's motives, he discovers that the villain is none other than Willie Watt, who has developed a new hyper-advanced suit that provides him with incredible strength and speed. Willie wants to make up for his past crimes by punishing those who commit evil acts, but he is doing it in an extremely violent and deadly manner.
Batman tries to reason with Willie, but the once timid and weak teenager is now consumed by his own power and thirst for vengeance. A climactic battle ensues, with Batman trying to take down the powerful villain without injuring him.
In the end, Batman is able to defeat Willie and remove the suit, but not before the villain causes some serious damage to the city. Willie is again taken into custody, but this time, he is much more confident in himself and his future. Batman leaves the scene, wondering if he can ever truly retire from his crime-fighting duties, knowing that the city will always have a need for a hero to protect it.
