Ep 3. Episode 3

In Basketball Wives LA season 5 episode 3, the drama continues to heat up as the ladies explore new relationships, celebrate graduations, and confront old wounds.

The episode starts with Jackie inviting all the ladies to her photo shoot for her upcoming calendar. With tensions still high between her and Malaysia, Jackie tries to make amends and get on track with her mood. However, the other ladies are not so easily convinced and still feel uneasy about her actions towards Malaysia. As they get ready for the shoot, Brandi surprises the group by showing up unexpectedly. As a former cast member, Brandi's return sparks mixed emotions with the ladies. Some are excited to see her and others are cautious about her intentions.

As they continue to pose for the camera, Jackie and Malaysia have a heart to heart talk about their misunderstandings in previous seasons. In other parts of LA, Angel and her daughter, Heaven, celebrate Heaven's high school graduation. With Angel's ex-husband and former NBA player, Marcus, in attendance with his new girlfriend, Angel's mixed emotions towards him begin to surface again. Despite her feelings, Angel tries to remain more mature and not cause any drama during the celebration.

Meanwhile, Tami and her daughter, Lyric, take a visit to the dermatologist as Lyric suffers from severe acne and skin problems. Tami is shown supporting her daughter and is seen being very nurturing, being cautious with her daughter's situation.

Back at the photo shoot, Malaysia and Brandi catch up and reminisce about their past friendship. Brandi reveals that she's back in LA to help her daughter adjust to living with her father, Jason Maxiell, after their move from Orlando. Brandi also mentions the source of tension happening, Deshayla an ex-friend of Malaysia and Brandi. Later in the episode, the ladies start discussing the Deshayla situation and things begin to get tense.

Before the episode ends, the ladies gather for dinner and an unexpected guest arrives. It turns out that Jason has invited Brandi to dinner with the ladies. As soon as she arrives, the conversation becomes heated with some of the ladies questioning her motives after being absent from the show. The situation grows more and more tense as old wounds are reopened, hurtful things are said and conclusions made. The episode ends with a dramatic cliffhanger, leaving viewers to wonder where the story will go next.
