In Bar Rescue season 7 episode 12, titled "Punk As A Drunk," a punk rock-themed bar called The Stache in Michigan is in desperate need of rescue. The Stache is failing due to the owner's poor management skills and a lack of understanding of the bar industry. The owner, Pam, is a former school teacher who regularly lets her employees drink on the job and allows them to over-serve customers.

To start the rescue process, Jon Taffer visits The Stache undercover, disguising himself as a customer. Taffer sees first-hand the poor service and dangerous behavior of the staff. He also notices that the bar is cluttered with random items and that the punk rock theme is not reflected well in the decor. When Taffer reveals his true identity to Pam, she is surprised but welcomes his help.

Taffer brings in expert mixologist, Phil Wills, to help revamp The Stache's drink menu, and Chef Ron Duprat to overhaul the kitchen and food menu. Outdated equipment is replaced, and the kitchen receives a deep clean. The menu is updated with items that reflect the punk rock theme and are appealing to the bar's target demographic. Taffer also addresses the over-serving issue by implementing a new system to track how many drinks each customer is served.

As part of the rescue, Taffer decides to throw a punk rock-themed party to attract new customers and generate hype. To ensure the success of the event, he brings in musician and punk rock icon, John Doe, to perform. The team creates a new stage area for the performance and decorates the bar with punk rock memorabilia.

On the night of the party, The Stache is transformed into a full-blown punk rock experience. The bartenders are dressed in punk rock attire, and the drink menu boasts creative punk rock-themed cocktails. The kitchen serves updated versions of classic bar food, and the stage area is packed with excited fans. John Doe takes the stage and performs, creating a memorable experience for all who attend.

As a result of the rescue, The Stache is transformed into a successful punk rock bar. The bar now has a clear brand identity, and the staff is properly trained on industry standards. Pam has learned the importance of managing a business properly, and the bar is no longer a danger to its customers. The Stache is now a thriving establishment that attracts both punk rock enthusiasts and those looking for a unique, fun night out.
